This Winchester manufactured first variation lower tang assembly is for the earliers post 64 model 94 top eject lever action carbines manufactured roughly between 1964 and 1967 and having a serial number between 2,700,000 and 3,000,000. This lower tang assembly has the two support rails on the side of the front most section that lock into the receiver and lacks the small double protruding points at the front. The second variation tangs do have the double protruding points but are likely interchangeable. This assembly is in very good condition with light wear. (file photo)
